Yesterday was my first day of "vacation" due to the Swine Flu outbreak in Central Texas. I have 8 days off of school (most will have to be made up) and I'm trying to enjoy my time now because I'm not going to be thrilled to make up my time this summer.
So, what to do, what to do? I cleaned house, waited for the fridge repairman, worked in my yard, went to the grocery store and hardware store, went online and looked up a copycat salad dressing recipe like the one they make at Olive Garden-made it, fixed supper, watched TV, spent a lot of time on Facebook, prayed , did some work through email for school, and spent some time dreaming in my garden journal. Since my husband is out of town, it was pretty much all about me.
I have a whole new day now, and I hate being bored, so I decided it was time to start the blog that I've been threatening for awhile. Since it's my blog, I have declared the right to post whatever...whether it's personal or professional. Just like my hair, my life is going in lots of different directions at once right now.
By the way, my daughter is my main inspiration for this blog. She's taught me a lot over the years.
A side note...the salad dressing was good, but it wasn't like Olive Garden's. Anyone have suggestions?
